Sandstorm in Bahrain - 18 Apr 08

Well, i never see or experience a sandstorm in my life. First because i am from South East Asia and there is no dessert around.

Back home, every year we experienced bad hazy day due to the fires in Indonesia during the dry season. I still remember the 2006 Southeast Asian haze event was caused by continued uncontrolled burning from slash & burn cultivation in Indonesia and affected several countries in the Southeast Asian region and beyond, such as Malaysia, Singapore and southern Thailand.

This time, it's the sandstorm in Bahrain. Taken some pictures this morning.

Well, a sandstorm is a windstorm in which large quantities of sand are blown about in the air in close proximity to the ground.

It's about 5.45pm and saw this great view from the office.... It's Bahrain @ Sunset.

Reminds me a lot of Malaysia.

New Bahrain Financial Harbour

When i first landed in Bahrain i saw this 2 twin towers similar to the Malaysian Petronas Twin Tower. It's part of the New Bahrain Financial Harbour.
